David Harder

David Harder is a versatile potter with over 15 years experience, and has lived in the White Mountains since 2005.  His clay forms are classical, and follow Greek and Roman lines, with some Native American influence.  David was one of the 500 artists (selected from over 5,500 worldwide entries) to be featured in 500 Pitchers, published by Lark Books.

Rather than being restricted to one firing format, he uses Raku, Pit-Fire, and Saggar methods to produce organic colors and custom glazes; each piece is unique.  His Community Art piece, Zuni Bear, shows these natural colors and influences beautifully.

David accepts commissioned work; to contact him, or to see more examples of his work, visit his website at http://www.desertinspiration.com/; you can also hear an audio interview with David here.
